Thrive Newsletter – October 2026
There’s plenty happening across Thrive this term, from exciting developments in our schools to new opportunities for pupils and colleagues across the Trust.
Our October newsletter brings together some of the highlights, including the planned arrival of three specialist schools in Herefordshire. Blackmarston School, Barrs Court School and Beacon College are set to join Thrive later this term, taking us to ten schools and bringing new expertise and opportunities to our wider community.
Closer to home, work has begun on the £8.5 million expansion at Baginton Fields Academy, which will create up to 74 additional specialist places. We also celebrate the first Year 10 cohort at Kitts Green Academy and the opening of post-16 provision at The Warwickshire Academy, helping young people build independence, qualifications and skills for the future.
There are plenty of stories showcasing the difference our schools make every day. Find out how the POP Bus is helping one Mary Elliot pupil rebuild confidence and improve attendance, discover the new outdoor learning spaces created at Kingsbury, and read how Calthorpe Academy is contributing to research into evidence-based teaching.
The newsletter also features Corley Academy’s celebration of reading, pupils sharing their views on belonging at the ‘I Belong HERE’ conference, and a slightly unusual fundraising challenge for Deputy CEO Dominic Broad, who is preparing to run the London Marathon in support of The Children’s Society.
Read the October newsletter to catch up on the latest news, celebrate our colleagues’ achievements and see the many ways Thrive schools are helping young people.
